Jane Teeling is a multimedia journalist and producer living in Brooklyn, N.Y.
Since 2004 she has reported on international topics, with a focus on human rights and social justice. Her work has appeared in Newsweek, Christian Science Monitor, GlobalPost, lifestyle + travel magazine, Voices of NY, City Limits magazine, The Local Fort Greene-Clinton Hill and the Rutland Herald.
After graduating from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C., where she studied English and Theology, Jane traveled in Europe and Southeast Asia. In Bangkok, Thailand, she worked as deputy editor of lifestyle + travel, a travel magazine distributed in Southeast Asia. She returned to the U.S. in 2007 and joined the Alliance to Save Energy, an energy efficiency nonprofit in Washington, D.C., where she oversaw the organization’s publications and web content.
Jane produces b-roll video and stock photography for clients such as Street Smart Video and NewYork.com. She is working on a masters at the City of New York Graduate School of Journalism.
In her spare time, Jane enjoys running, snowboarding and purchasing one-way tickets to far-off places.
